開会式/コカ・コーラ工場見学
　 　真駒内ハイツの大会議室でＷＹＦの開会式が行われた。山本研一北海道新聞社取締役事業局長のあいさつに続いて参加者が紹介され、ジュニアたちは手を振って拍手にこたえていた。その後、バス３台に分かれて乗り込み、北海道コカ・コーラボトリングの工場見学へ向かった。工場に到着した海外ジュニアを同社の新見俊一広報室長が出迎え、「皆さんにお会いできて大変うれしく思います。期間中はさまざまな文化に触れ、友情を深めてください。」とあいさつ。そしてジュニアたちは、担当者の案内で工場内を見学。工場見学を終えた後は、冷えたコーラでのどを潤しながら、コカ・コーラの歴史などを紹介したビデオを鑑賞し、工場を出発。美瑛プログラムが行われる国立大雪青年の家へと向かった。
Opening Assembly/Visit to Coca-Cola Bottling
　 Opening assembly was held in a large meeting room of Makomanai Heights.Following the welcome speech by Mr.Kenichi Yamamoto,Director General of the Cultural Projects Bureau of The Hokkaido Shimbun Press,member of each group were introduced. After the assembly,all the participants went to Coca-Cola Bottoling for the plant tour. Mr.Shunichi Niimi welcomed overseas participants and hoped they will learn a lot about diferent culture and deepen friendship. They then enjoyed a tour of the plant,and were served refreshing cold drink of Coke. They also watched video show presenting history of Coca-Cola. Leaving the Plant,the headed for the National Taisetsu Youth Center in Biei.

美瑛プログラム・オープニング対面式
　 　青年の家を舞台に３泊４日のスケジュールで行われる美瑛プログラムでは、道内ジュニアが国や地域ごとのグループに加わり、海外ジュニアと交流をした。全員が集まりオープニング対面式がスタート。
　初めはお互い緊張気味だったが、地元・美進小学校の生徒たちによる美進聖台太鼓の演奏、美瑛町を紹介するスライド上映を経て、コミュニケーションタイムに入ったころにはすっかり打ち解けた様子。
　身ぶり手ぶりを交えながら自己紹介を行う姿があちらこちらで見られた。
Biei Program:Opening
　 Four-day Biei program was carried out at the National Taisetsu Youth Center as its stage. Young people who gathered from every corner of Hokkaido joined in the groups from overseas countries to enjoy different activities together. When they first met,they looked a little shy and hesitant. But,when time gose by,they became friendly to each other and watched drum performance by local elementary school students together. They also enjoyed slide show presenting the town of Biei,and had fun time introducing each other using sign language and gestures.
